Reservations?

Chai Pani in DC is our only location that accepts reservations. You can book ahead via  OpenTable! 

Please include all guests, including the little ones, in your reservation count so we can plan accordingly. We suggest grabbing a reservation if you can, but we do keep a few tables open for walk-ins! No tables available on your desired date? Hit the “Notify Me” button on OpenTable, and you’ll be the first to know when a reservation opens up.  

In Asheville, NC, and Decatur, GA, we don’t take reservations...but our hosts are happy to add your name to the list if there happens to be a wait!

Large Parties?

Our Chai Panis can accommodate groups of up to 12 guests. For parties larger than that, we’ll do our best to seat you nearby, but we can’t guarantee one big table. Wait times for larger parties may be a little longer than average!

In DC, limited reservations for groups of 7–12 are available on OpenTable. If you don’t see availability, we’re likely booked for that time.

Please note that a 20% service charge is added to parties of 6 or more.

Parking?

Asheville: There's free street parking throughout the South Slope neighborhood, plus nearby paid lots and garages.

Decatur: We have parking available in our shared lot, as well as street parking & paid garages nearby. After 5:30 PM, you can also park in the Sharian Rugs lot a few doors down!

DC @ Union Market: There are several parking options nearby between paid lots, street parking, and garages. It can get busy on nights and weekends, so it's best to add some cushion time to secure parking before your reservation.

Kids?

Bring the whole family! We have a kid friendly menu, highchairs, booster seats, and crayons to keep them happy.  

Can you accommodate wheelchairs or strollers?

Absolutely. We’ve made sure our spaces are accessible and welcoming for everyone.

Outdoor Seating?

Our Decatur & DC locations have patio seating that is first come, first serve! Please note, we may close our outdoor area in the case of weary weather.

Our Asheville location only has indoor seating available.

Are pets allowed?

Service animals are welcome at all locations. Non-service animals aren’t permitted inside, but well-behaved and leashed furry friends can join you if you find yourself seated on one of our patios!

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

We have a wide variety of vegetarian, vegan, gluten & dairy free options available to enjoy. Plus! All of our chicken & lamb is certified halal.

Can I order takeout or delivery?

Yes! Order online above for in-person pick up. For delivery, place your order on DoorDash or UberEats.

Please note that our Decatur location only offers delivery during dinner hours, and our Asheville location only offers delivery Sunday - Thursday.

During peak busy hours, online ordering may be turned off so we can focus on our in-house guests’ experience.

Do you do catering?

Can I book a private event?

Sure can! Asheville has its own private dining room.  Reach out here to learn more! 

Decatur & DC: We don't have a private dining space, but we are always happy to try to figure something out. Hit our line and we'll see what we can do!

Gift cards?

Yes! You can grab gift cards  online  or in person at any Chai Pani.

They’re valid for dine-in and online orders at all locations, just not orders through DoorDash or UberEats.

Merch?

You’ll find cool hoodies and tees right inside our restaurants, plus a limited selection  online  you can purchase!
